Still a ways off yet, the car will be pretty much complete by that stage, I’m curious what it’s going to sound like myself!

Had to go to town for supplies, on the way back I stopped to check mail, nothing.. my seat was onboard for delivery this morning but StarTrack usually don’t come till the afternoon..
Headed home and spotted a StarTrack truck turn in behind me then off a side road to do a delivery, did a U turn and caught up, sure enough he had my seat, saves me a 30k round trip!
I need to trim one side a little for the transfer case part of the floor, then it’ll sit level, with the padded cover it should be comfy enough for a few laps!

Posts: 5 777How does that work IJ? I assumed the power feed goes up to it? Or it a cable operated gizmo?
April 25, 2020 at 6:26 pm #32010Just a big isolator switch in the main cable between the battery and the car, it also has a smaller switch built in that I wire the trigger to the power for the ECU relay into, the handle pulls a cable which pulls the switch, no electricity to the car or the ECU it all stops.
If you just interrupt the main power cable the car will still run on the alternator, a lot of people dump the alternator load into resistors, I prefer to shut the ECU off.

One thing I’m struggling with during the lockdown is Apathy, almost pulled another CBF’d day and didn’t go out till 11am..
Got the headlight blanks done so that’s another item crossed off the to do list..

April 27, 2020 at 8:15 pm #32019Thanks Frazer, 58 and still learning each and every day, the day I stop will be the day I’m dead..
April 28, 2020 at 12:20 pm #32022Called into the Post Office and collected a parcel, this is the one that took 2 weeks Melbourne to here…
My OCD kicked in and couldn’t accept having mismatched harnesses of different colours in the car now it’s a 2 seater again.
April 29, 2020 at 12:44 pm #32029Went and collected my new genuine O2 sensors, in 2 minds to use them in the Tonner or save them for the BMW as the old Lexcen ones are running fine..
Sorted through the Wiring mess as I needed to find my Trac button and install it somewhere easy to reach when belted into the car.
Also removed the driver’s seat and harness so I can mount up the passenger side, there will be some welding and grinding.
Last job for the day was to fix the alignment of the passenger side door, I suspect it was reversed into something while open, the bottom corner was out 15mm and has bugged me since I got the car!
From this angle the GT Wing looks gigantic…

Posts: 5 777Love that interior shot mate, very neat and purposeful. Should also make it way easier to troubleshoot if there are any gremlins.
April 29, 2020 at 2:16 pm #32031Thanks Gary, I hope to carry it through to the Wiring this time, last time it was a bit of a Rats Nest..
April 30, 2020 at 12:39 pm #32034Seat done, didn’t have to cut as much off as I thought..
Will make the mounts tomorrow.
April 30, 2020 at 3:59 pm #32035Nice.
Plus if you squint a bit and look through one eye. You can read the name on the chair. It says “the WTF seat”
But name it what you want. Put my name on the list for a ride.
