Posts: 5 777I must have had “good” hose, as I don’t remember anything like that. In fact the opposite, I couldn’t believe how much easier it was to use the 200 than the 100 previously. I have a set of “kool tools” though, do you use them?
January 23, 2020 at 2:10 pm #31181Nope, don’t really do enough Braided hose to warrant it till now..

They are not the kind of thing you use every day, but does make it easier. Once again petty we arent closer together could have given you them to use. Prob too late to post them over, your pretty much done right?
January 23, 2020 at 2:58 pm #31183Yeah only have a few hoses left to do, thanks for the offer!

Posts: 5 777Easy as mate, anytime don’t hesitate, this sort of stuff gets a lot of use for short time then sits on the shelf, always happy to loan it out to the right person of course
January 23, 2020 at 8:25 pm #31185What’s a kool tool?

These, I have set, they are excellent.
Koul Tools AN -6 -8 -10 Hose End Assembly Tools For Aeroquip, Earl's, Fragola, Russel Or XRP Ends
January 24, 2020 at 11:38 am #31191Some more of my fittings arrived so I’ve been down getting my head around the new fuel system, thought I’d post a pic of why I have such an intense hatred of Aeroflow’s new Braided Teflon hose…

Posts: 5 777Jesus wept, that’s bullshit. Mine did nothing like that, not even close. Maybe that needs to be sent back?

Posts: 5 777In fact, I reckon I still have a bit that’s been cut that’s just in the box hardly splayed if you know what I mean. That must be a total pita.
January 24, 2020 at 11:43 am #31195Just the way it’s been woven, so frustrating to work with but I have it down now so no real stress..

Tbh its so long since I did any hose work on mine I don’t remember that. I can’t believee that pic mate, seriosuly I couldn’t believe how easy the 200 series was to fit after working with the rubber. Aeroflow seems to have a bad name, althought that wasnt my experience.
January 24, 2020 at 11:51 am #31197Think you might have forgotten which is which, 200 is Teflon Gary..

Posts: 5 777I thought that’s what I wrote?, ie the 200 (Teflon) being easier than the rubber. But I am getting old!!
January 24, 2020 at 3:08 pm #31199But the Kool tool doesn’t work on Teflon???
January 24, 2020 at 10:49 pm #31200News Alert @ aeroflow factory after talks with the Kmart Corporation has just replaced chinese workers with new cheaper faster bangladeshie workers who guaranty good quality export parts. over and out, pictures like IJ’s good example to follow stay tuned.
