Posts: 5 777Very nice, haven’t seen one that colour before, plans sound good to. Love these early HSV’s, they just got it right imo.

Posts: 227Brad, what’s your opinion of COME? Would you recommend? Got some serious stuff on their website.
How come the block has been there a year?
How did you get the block to them & cost?
did you do the brake upgrade? If so what was involved upgrading to VT?
Cheers

My VS brake upgrade thread - http://www.commodoresplus.com.au/forums/topic/vs-brake-upgrades/April 3, 2015 at 3:31 pm #3831Come are very professional and have found all the problems with the block so far. I bought heads off them and they suggested I sent my block to them. Long story short they are really good and I would highly recommend them. Only reason it’s been there so long is lack of funds as I bought the car as my daily and an on apprentice wages. I didn’t do the vt upgrade as I bought the car like that

April 3, 2015 at 4:52 pm #3838What made u go the alloy heads? Considering money is tight, $$ could of been spent elsewhere.

April 3, 2015 at 8:41 pm #3857I wanted a good set of heads and money wasn’t tight then. It was after I run into all of the block problems I started to run out of money. Also living in Alice Springs you miss out on the good deals because no one wants to freight stuff here and when they do it costs an arm and a leg
April 4, 2015 at 5:09 pm #3935Ahh k fair enough enough mate. cast heads would of been more then up to the task.
August 23, 2015 at 7:25 pm #8696Bit of progress, got all the machining done and have the block back. Hopefully the heads, manifold and oil pump are here this week. Also purchased Billet timing cover and pacemaker ph 5002 extractors this weekend. Starting to make slow progress.

October 25, 2015 at 2:12 pm #10566Picking up a vt ss wreck soon and was thinking of putting the vt motor in, until my motor is complete. Will I be able to run the motor with my vs computer? Or will I have to use the one out of the vt?
