Posts: 5 777Power and Torque are related.
Nope and nope, they’re directly related,
Isn’t that what I said? There are many misconceptions about the way they are related and what effect that has on driveability is what i am trying to say, obviously somewhat badly. But that’s enough on it for me, back to building cars.
June 1, 2016 at 6:36 pm #17435All I know is, Power is how fast you hit the wall, Torque is how far you take the wall after you hit!! :XD:

Posts: 5 777^have heard that one too :). So Kroozer there’s a bloody nice collection of Commodores in those pics above, hope your spreading the word for the forum, be nice to get some of those on here
June 13, 2016 at 9:28 pm #17771Well then…. Should I change my statement to “I want lots of down low Torque”?
Had a chat to TK during the week he suggested saving a few dollars on the rods/pistons by ditching the COME stuff and then spending a bit more and get the better Crane Lifters and also changing to a Custom Grind Crane cam. He did rattle off the numbers but I can’t remember them hahaha Also going to do a few oiling mods to make sure it has a happy life

Yer bloke is abit of a Holden V8 wizard!
So a new in box CSR 3.75″ Nitrided Crank with Small Chev Journals and Arrow 5.7″ rods to suit came up cheap so jumped at that!
And does anyone have any hook ups for Manley Valves? Tried VPW today and they had 4 of one lot and none of the others…

Posts: 5 777Could give Adam at Precision a call.
June 17, 2016 at 7:54 pm #17839I work at a Spare parts shop that has been around for 60+ years so we get a good discount with our suppliers 👍 Precision and Rocket don’t do Manley, looks like VPW and Fabre are about it…

August 26, 2016 at 11:06 pm #19297Quick update, Not much has been happening, slowing collecting bits and piece’s for engine. Bought the CSR Crank and Rods off TK so can cross that off the list. Went down to the All Holden Day in Windsor again this year with a few other VN SS mates. Some nice cars there other then one group trying to look like Woolies car park with about 70 ve/vf’s….
Got to scoot this Tidy VR Senator around as well while the cars were clean and ready for the next day
And last week finally ditched the last of the VIC Spec and got rid of the Venetians!
August 27, 2016 at 8:35 am #19298Sweet looked like a good day out. And the senator not many of the 217s about.
August 27, 2016 at 9:44 am #19299Lol that would of been Club Ve and their peanut crew, SS owners.
