Posts: 227So I got my mechanic to replace ignition leads. He offered to relocate the ignition coil from the back of the motor to the firewall. I thought ‘why not’ as it’s in a sh*t of place.
Anyone else done this?

Posts: 264Did mine a while ago when I did the conversion. It’s a common thing to relocate these on the 5ltr. The spot they are in is crap and not good for heat either.
Mine is in a similar spot behind the strut tower.

Yeah moved that too. Always been there since the conversion though. Would like to put it in the cabin on day though and get rid of it from the bay.
You guys don’t have AC?
I have A/C in mine. VR onwards don’t have a big ugly accumulator sitting there. The pipe comes out the fire wall and runs down the chassis rail along the front of the car to the receiver drier.
