Posts: 102Boot lip idea sounds great. Interior looks mint, I always wanted to do the stato dash to my first car (vs wagon) looks like you did a great job.

Posts: 71Just don’t look closely AJ. I’m not happy with it but have tried to straighten it up with no success.

Posts: 71Add an idea to the boot install. A sliding shelf that holds tools. Bolted to the parcel shelf. Yay or nay?

Posts: 5 777Love the look of a Stato dash. One thing I wouldn’t mind doing one day. They look so much better than the Commodore one.
Def agree they look way classier.

If I was to do it I would use one of those Eva Foam trays so the tools don’t rattle and then put something like this ontop to make sure they stay in place and eliminate the possibly of rattles further

Posts: 57You sure that rear seat is from a VZ? Looks like ‘Pewter’ in the photo, which is VT-VX1 … VX2 onwards got ‘Anthracite’ which was a darker, blacker leather.
If you REALLY want a set of seats, I’ve got a full set of leather seats to suit VT-VZ in Pewter, but I’m in WA

Posts: 71Might actually be VX. I’ll ask my mate that I bought them off.
To update: car is in to get painted and have the rust hole repaired.
Have found an s pac boot lid with the bobtail and put an offer in for it. Waiting to hear back. Hoping to have both fresh so depending on mood I can swap.
Gonna try and drop off the SS kit tomorrow to get prepped for paint. Can’t wait to have an amazing looking car!March 22, 2015 at 8:51 pm #3237

Posts: 71What’s a fog light switch worth? Found two on EvilBay. Ones 40 bucks and looks pretty good with a bracket and screws. The other is 75 or 115 buy it now. Refurbished with bracket… 40 sounds better to me though…
Should just need the fuse for the foggies cause I believe the car already has the wiring… HOPEFULLY!

It will probably be like my Acclaim and only have the plugs for the actual fog lights taped up in the engine bay but no plug for the switch behind the dash

Posts: 71That’s where stato dash comes into play! Wiring is there! I do remember seeing wiring in the bay so in my head, I just need a fuse and the switch and I’m set! Woo!

Posts: 71So… Bad news… Haven’t seen it yet but there seems to be a lot more rust than expected. All on the lower part of the rear window… Will get pics tomorrow! Hopefully. Having no car sucks.
