So… Here is one of my three cars. My Daily made into a weekender. A lot of work has been done to this. In my head it doesn’t feel like it but a lot of hours has gone into this car.

    What’s been done:

VS Statesman dash conversion with lvl 3 cluster.

VT front seats. Still need to ire them in properly.

VX rear seats. Swapped base frame over to fit. Cut out some foam from back pieces to fit.

Custom black roof lining replacement. Fitted by me.

    Statesman door cards.

    Chrome inner door handles.

    Front and rear speakers updated.

    Power windows fitted.

    Statesman bootlid carpet

    Chrome window surrounds.

LSD replacement. Fitted by me. Second hand unit.

Front and rear adjustable sway bars.

Lowered suspension – King spring low.

    New drive shafts.

    Mace CAI and manifold spacer.

    K & N pod filter.

Big brake upgrade. Ve brakes. 380 mm set. Fitted by myself.

    Custom tune.

Custom 20″ wheels. Poorly painted by professionals. But look good from a distance.

RHS re spray. LHS is booked in. Also have SS kit to go in for a spray and fitting

    Future plans:

Finish off L67 build and install with t5

    Sunroof install

    Statesman front. Maybe.

Custom boot install – 20″ spare in enclosure, sub/s, amp, custom serge tank, battery relocation and spare parts compartment that’s hidden.

The day I got my third project….

The wheels don’t look that good in person…

Really need some interior pics. Will try tomorrow or something.

Clean as, and has some of the mods I’d also do – Stato dash, cluster upgrade, VT seats, chrome window surrounds, etc.

The HB looks pretty tidy too!

Not a HB. It’s an LJ 4 cyl.

Cheers mate! When I can I’ll get more pics!

Love to see some pics of the interior mods you have done, sound like very tasteful mods. Great car.

    Cheers Gary!

First I gotta play with the stato dash to make the center console line up a bit better. Then possibly swap it to a darker version.

Kinda want to get a new carpet so it fits nicely on the sides. Lhr is pulled away and won’t go back under the plastics.

I actually bought a stato centre console a while back. Had plans of trying to graft it into a stock dash.

I was kinda thinking of grafting the vy gauge piece onto the vs dash… Might look weird though. I want some gauges but don’t want them in stupid spots like the a pillar or center console. Surprisingly use the center piece under the radio a lot! So I gotta think of a new spot…

I’ll try for tomorrow but don’t look at the center console lines… bloody horrible.

AH! … but I thought LJ’s had a color-coded metal part between the headlight and the centre grill area? I know LC’s were all one piece.

Edit: I also spy a color coded metal section between the grill and the bumper… still looks like a HB front to me? LC and LJ did not get the color coded bit there.

Another option for gauges, if you are not worried about AC is in the top vents of the dash, up near the trip meter and stuff, cant exactly recall what a stato dash looks like, but might fit in there well?? just a thought.

Was actually thinking of getting a boot lid and lip off an s pac. Will suit the SS kit.

I kinda like the spoiler on it. Hate boots without spoilers.

I’m a black sheep ok? Haha.

Andy, this one’s been ruined by someone with silly ideas. That center piece has been painted.

The blackouts arnt supposed to be there. When it’s ready for paint it’ll be what it’s supposed to be from factory.

Nevin, got any pics on what that would look like? I dunno how that would look…

Would probably look alot better if done properly, I just threw this in with a spare bit of foam I had laying round. Might give you an idea tho. Never seen anyone else with them up there.

If you check out Petes car (VS manta 218) he has the gauges up there, this is his build thread http://www.commodoresplus.com.au/forums/topic/vs-manta-218/

Stato dash with stato door cars and vt front seats under seat covers.

    VZ rear seats.

Wouldn’t mind finding the same colour front seats and swap them over.

Love the look of a Stato dash. One thing I wouldn’t mind doing one day. They look so much better than the Commodore one.
